Event Description:
Calling all IT employers and HR in the IT field!

Gainesville Information Technology (GIT), a program of FloridaWorks in collaboration with the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, is looking for local companies to get involved in the Attraction, Training and Retention of top IT talent. The call to action starts now with local leadership! Come to GIT's Employer Luncheon on Wednesday, August 14th at 11:30am at Gator’s Dockside to poll resources and collaborate as a community!

This month, we will discuss:

-       How to cultivate and educate IT interest.

-       How to attract and retain strong IT candidates to the area.

-       How can we, as a community, collaborate to achieve GIT’s mission?

We are working together to build the best IT workforce in the country. We are working together to keep our talent local by sharing the wealth.
As always, we will be having Talent Trade, an opportunity for employers to review registered EFM applicants who may be the perfect fit for their company. Employers are encouraged to recommend impressive applicants for Talent Trade who may not have met specific position requirements or pre-requisites. Build our regional applicant pool to keep our talent in the Gainesville area!

Employers will have an opportunity to make “popcorn” announcements towards the close of the event. Come prepared to briefly share good news with your industry colleagues!

Register today! For more information or questions, contact Shareen Baptiste at 352.334.7100 or Shareen@GainesvilleChamber.com.
