This position will be responsible for the overall performance of an assigned shift(s) and employees within; including production output, compliance, driving lean initiatives and achieving set metrics.  The Supervisor will oversee their employees inside a manufacturing environment and ensure adherence to company policy and procedures.  This position will be critical in success of the department and will help RTI Surgical maximize the amount of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.      



  • Supervises hourly staff including scheduling and PTO approval, performance management, and corrective actions. 

  • Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of the manufacturing staff and documenting when successfully completed.   

  • Interfaces with Operations Management Team regarding production needs and challenges as well as individual and group performance. 

  • Ensures all operations are performed safely and promoting safe work practices to the shift and sets priorities for meeting production commitments with the input from Planning/Scheduling departments. 

  • Trains operators on processes and new operations and ensures operators have tools and equipment to complete their jobs 

  • Assists in ensuring new product launches are completed on-time  

  • Provides front-line quality checks and assist operators in making sure all operations are completed within the appropriate guidelines 

  • Ensures all required operations (daily cleaning, environmental sampling, etc.) are completed and provides feedback to operators on quality results to improve operators’ quality performance 

  • Works with operators and engineers to improve team members output and cycle time with the goal to improve the overall business unit operations

  • At least 3 years of experience in functional area and/or 2 years of Supervisory Experience 

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred 


Physical Requirements: 


Light work: Physically handle objects up to 50 lbs. frequently. 


Work Environment: 

Office Setting - Open layout with assigned workstation or office
