The Collier Companies is seeking an Financial Analyst! 

The Collier Companies is seeking an entry level Financial Analyst for immediate hire to be involved in all aspects of the Company’s finance activities, ranging from underwriting the financing of existing assets to initial investment analysis of potential acquisition and development opportunities. The Analyst will report to the Director of Finance with opportunity to potentially support the Development team on other corporate finance tasks.

 

This role will report out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive financial and market analysis for refinancing existing debt with institutional lenders.
  • Learn the policies and procedures of our institutional capital providers and work with all outside and 3rd parties to arrange and close the financings.
  • Conduct market research for investment opportunities and prospective acquisitions, as well as development opportunities using proprietary Excel models.
  • Prepare asset management performance reports on an ad hoc basis.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with industry professionals and attend select industry conferences.
  • Be one of TCC’s main points of contact for our Institutional Lenders and JV Equity Partners. 

Qualifications: 

  • Finance undergrad with RE Minor preferred.
  • Strong quantitative background and excel skills as well as understanding of financial analysis concepts (DCF, IRR, financial statements etc.)
  • Ability to understand and eventually model JV equity waterfall cashflows based on written terms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with company executives.
  • Strong work ethic, problem solving, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
