Job Description
The Alachua County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) is currently seeking interested and qualified candidates for the position described below. As a condition of employment, employees are required to participate in the payroll direct deposit program. HOURS: Full time, 8 hour shifts

SALARY: Starting Salary: $15.7702 per hour. Consideration for above base pay for each full year of comparable experience up to 10%. A 20 year step plan with a 2.5% annual increase each year after two (2) full years of service. Educational incentive pay. $996 for Associates Degree, $2,004 for Bachelor’s Degree, $2,496 for Master Degree. Bi-weekly pay period.

DESCRIPTION: Skilled technical and clerical work involved with ordering, receiving, recording, controlling, dispersing, and disposing of a wide variety of property items.

REQUIREMENTS: To submit an application:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid Florida driver’s license
• Ability to type 25 cwpm
• Good working knowledge of computers
• Two (2) years of experience in records, inventory control, warehousing, or purchasing preferred
• Requires a large amount of physical labor to include moderate to heavy lifting, moderate to heavy pushing/pulling, carrying moderate to heavy loads, and climbing
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Be of good moral character, have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral character, perjury or false statements
• No tattoos that depict violence, gang affiliation, illegal substance or activities
