The Collier Companies is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst!

This role will report out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. The Collier Companies is looking for a data-driven and growth-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to compile, analyze, and develop reporting on business data to provide actionable insight into business performance and opportunities for operational improvements. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data, use graphs, infographics, and KPIs to visualize data, and work with an Agile Development team to create meaningful Power BI reports.

 

The Business Intelligence Analyst works directly with business stakeholders to create data-based solutions that analyze performance and maintain operations. The preferred candidate is someone who seeks challenges and personal growth, enjoys solving problems, and can quickly teach themselves new concepts.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design data models and reports in Power BI
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions 
  • Translate requests from business stakeholders into actionable reports
  • Meet with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate progress
  • Write and troubleshoot SQL queries
  • Prep data for reports and analysis
  • Support automated report distributions
  • Promote reports from development to test to production
  • Assist in customizing analytic solutions to specific client needs 
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data 
  • Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with at least one visualization tool such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or Power BI 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel 
  • Some coding/programming experience  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DAX, Power Query M, and SQL 
  • Experience with Power BI Paginated Reports
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio 
  • API Management Experience 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure 
  • Background in mathematics, finance, statistics, or business 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of git and GitHub in a team setting
