Summary

We rely on our IT systems to power the solutions that help consumers around the world. We’re seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator who can join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient. This role will require analysis and maintenance of current network and server systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions, upgrades, and provide training to users. The ideal candidate for this position has extensive knowledge of systems administration, Information security (InfoSec) solutions, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor the systems daily and respond quickly to any security breaches or usability concerns.
  • Utilize tools, techniques, and best practices for systems hardening to reduce vulnerability in technology applications, systems, infrastructure, and other areas.
  • Diagnostics and remediation of system failures, attacks, and attempted security breaches
  • Maintain corporate and production monitoring systems
  • Maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors
  • Produce and audit documentation as required for Information Security Diagraming of network and server architecture including documentation of systems
  • Ensure best practices for security protocols
  • Develop and validate disaster recovery plans for corporate and production resources
  • Plan and execute internal and external audits on a regular basis (HIPAA/HITRUST)

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science preferred
  • Knowledge of cloud computing
  • Experience with system analysis and planning
  • Knowledge of mail server configurations (Exchange/O365, iMail, Barracuda)
  • Experience with administration of Microsoft Hyper-V Hypervisors
  • Knowledge of Scripting and automation software (Powershell, Perl)
  • Experience with administration of storage servers and backup systems
  • Experience with administration of production servers (MS Server 2008-2019 standard, datacenter, and core, Ubuntu)
  • Experience with maintenance of telephony systems (VoIP)
  • Knowledge of business networks, VPN, firewalls, and remote connectivity
  • Experience with maintenance of DNS registrations and Certificates
  • Experience with any of the following preferred: IT Ticketing systems, IT documentation systems, IT audits, Internal chat systems, remote desktop, SQL Server, Web-based meetings

Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking preferred

Duties and Deliverables:

  • Continued learning to keep current with emerging threats and new technologies
  • Liaise with other departments to represent IT concerns and responsibilities
  • Designing and executing training programs and workshops for staff
