Infotech® is seeking a Software Engineer who will play a key role in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of software systems. You will own product features from technical design to launch. If you are driving on a highway in North America, there is a good chance that Infotech software was used to build it. 88% of state transportation agencies in the U.S. use Infotech-developed software to manage their road construction projects. How’s that for impact?!

Who We Are Looking For

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems. You will own product features from technical design to launch. With a solid foundation of computer engineering best practices, you will focus on task completion and depth within a dedicated area of our code base. 

You’d be a good fit for this role if:

  • You've had a few software engineering internships but are ready to jump into a full time role supporting innovative software solutions.
  • You are passionate about driving and creating innovative solutions to complex problems...the more complex, the better.

  • You are driven by continuous improvement and work to refine your techniques through research, experimentation, and industry involvement.

You must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in software engineering obtained through a combination of past positions, internships, class or independent projects.

The technical chops needed for this role:

  • Languages: Ruby, Python, or Node.js;
  • Frameworks: Rails, Django, or Laravel;
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS or any experience with cloud providers (Azure or GCP);
  • Source control management: Git;
  • APIs: RESTful, GraphQL;
  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.

Infotech is a flexible employer. This position is open to fully remote candidates. Preference may be given to candidates able to commit to a flexible remote work arrangement that requires a consistent cadence working from our Gainesville headquarters.
