The Collier Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator!

The Systems Administrator will lead the technical aspects of design and development efforts for Microsoft Azure/ Office 365; participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure; including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security.
 

This role will report out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate, and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. Qualifications

Essential Job Qualifications:  

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure/Office 365
    • Managing Microsoft Azure/365 Identity and Security
    • Managing Microsoft Azure/365 Services including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and Networking Solutions
    • Managing Microsoft Azure/365 to ensure high availability and reliability
    • Managing MDM using Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Monitors and analyzes the capabilities, security, and performance of the systems
  • Ability to configure, monitor and maintain Windows servers within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment
  • Maintain cloud servers, including security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to configure, monitor and maintain SAN devices.
  • Assist in maintaining system security strategies, process, and procedures
  • Compare, evaluate, and work with appropriate leadership to implement and integrate systems, as appropriate
  • Train and direct other staff, as assigned

Your Skills - Show Us What You Got:

  • Understanding of Azure/365 Security controls, procedures, and processes
  • Understanding of Azure/365 Services including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and Networking Solutions
  • Understanding of PowerShell and Scripting
  • Ability and willingness to work irregular hours as required to maintain the infrastructure and hosted services without interrupting core business operations or functionality, including scheduled weekend maintenance windows and on-call rotation
  • Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision, with a proven ability to prioritize and multitask with exceptional attention to detail 

Education and Experience: 

  • 1 to 3 years of progressively responsible experience with Cloud based applications such as Azure/Office 365, SharePoint and Skype for Business/Teams
  • Security+ and System Administrator and Azure certifications a plus!
