Duties and Responsibilities (Key Deliverables):

1. Direct strategic planning and initiatives for product group(s) with a long-term global outlook.
2. Provide marketing leadership in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and possible strategic opportunities applicable to product area.
3. Manage the life cycle of existing and new implants, instruments and advanced technologies.
4. Direct the description, evaluation, pricing strategy, and introduction of new products and line extensions.
5. Support selling activities through sales materials, training, field visits, etc.
6. Effectively demonstrate the product(s) to surgeons, sales force, and internal employees.
7. Provide marketing leadership in a collaborative effort with Engineering and Development, Research, and Production teams in the development of new products.
8. Provide business leadership to make sound financial decisions for each product line.
9. Develop working relations with leading orthopedic surgeons to ensure ongoing collaboration, product development, and product improvement feedback while abiding by the Exactech Code of Ethics and all applicable legal guidelines.
10. Manage the development of market and competitive analysis to the sales force.
11. Manage the development of sales forecast to determine organizational objectives.
12. Manage the development of marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives and sales forecasts.
13. Direct the design and implementation of the annual product marketing plan.
14. Provide business leadership to make sound financial decisions within the marketing team and the business unit.
15. Establish corporate and brand presence utilizing both web-based and native OS applications.
16. Provide business mentorship, leadership, and support to team members in advancing marketing roles.
17. Create and manage a collaborate environment for cross-functional teamwork between multiple business units and departments.
18. Practice leadership as stated in the Exactech Leadership Model

a) Ensure organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiative efforts
b) Establishes clearly defined individual goals
c) Provide leadership to include effective feedback on culture, results and future, coaching and mentoring, performance management and career development
d) Assure compliance to the code of ethics

19. Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
20. Assist and support other employees, teams and sales personnel as necessary.

Job Requirements:


⦁ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s Degree from an accredited institution required;


⦁ 15 years of experience in marketing/product management in the orthopedic joint reconstruction field (ideally related to his/her product line).

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

⦁ Great Organizational & interpersonal skills.
⦁ Working knowledge of windows based office productivity tools including word processor and spreadsheet.
⦁ Ability to meet the medical requirements to gain entry into individual hospitals and hospital systems as needed to observe surgical procedures.
⦁ Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.
⦁ Ability to translate strategic concepts into actionable sales and marketing plans for senior executive, middle management, and junior sales/engineering audiences
⦁ Ability to write ultra-clear and concise business and execution plans using multiple formats (PowerPoint, Word, etc)
