Biological Scientist II

• Test new vaccines and therapeutics for Sjögren’s Syndrome in laboratory mice.
• Collect blood, urine, and fecal samples to determine extent of autoimmune disease development.
• Measure antigen-specific T cell responses by ELISPOT, ELISA, and flow cytometry methods.
• Perform various laboratory duties required maintaining proper operation of the lab.
• Order and inventory supplies.

$44,700; commensurate with experience

Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in biology or a closely related field and one year of relevant experience; Doctoral degree in biology or a closely related field.

• Experience in microbiology.
• Immunology and flow cytometry experience.
• Experience with small animal challenge studies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
