WellFlorida Council

WellFlorida Council is the state designated local health council for 16 counties in North Central Florida. Designed to help improve access to healthcare, reduce disparities in health status, and assist state and local governments in the development of sound and rational healthcare policies, local health councils advocate on behalf of the underserved.
In addition to being the region’s local health council, they are a private, nonprofit organization providing management services to over a dozen local, state and federally funded programs that support their causes--maternal and infant health, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, and improving access to healthcare, especially in rural communities.
