Event Description:
        When we welcome a global perspective and local action, we strengthen our community.  This annual event celebrates the 150 years of Gainesville from a small town to a diverse, international center of culture, education, business, and innovation. Enjoy an enchanting evening of entertainment, food, drink, arts and live music from different parts of the world, including a performance from Dance Alive National Ballet. We will also recognize three individuals having a global impact.  

Key Details:
  1. The date is September 13, 2019, from 6pm-10pm. Tickets are $250 per person.
  2. This is a formal black-tie event where you will walk the red carpet and enjoy food, music, and dance from different regions of the world.
  3. We will have a brief awards portion acknowledging local companies and institutions having a global impact.
Guests:
1. Tables have already been purchased from UF, Santa Fe, the Mayor’s Office, and other local companies.
2. Mayor Poe will greet us for the evening.
3. Hosts will be entertainer Elio Piedra and International Lawyer, Nouvelle Gonzalo.

Experience:
1. We will travel through different regions of the world throughout the evening.
2. We will have an experience auction with different experiences that have a tie-in to an international experience available for sale.

Charitable:
1. We will celebrate 150 years of Gainesville while enjoying other cultures as well.
2. The proceeds benefit two nonprofits, the Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center and the expansion of the Gainesville International Center.
