Founded in 1980, the ART develops new talent, plays, audiences and ideas while celebrating and revivifying the great plays of the past. The ART provides a safe place where people of all ages, genders, races, socio-economic backgrounds and beliefs can create unsafe theatre- thinking people’s theatre- theatre that transforms.  

For many years, the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre could be found in downtown Gainesville. Now, you can find ART in the ever-growing Creekside Mall off of 2nd Avenue. They have put a lot of time, energy and funding into this new location and they are excited to share it with us. So, join us for refreshments, mingling, tours and more! The ribbon cutting ceremony will commence at 4:30pm.
