Event Description:
The latest theme at the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention features new activities, micro-exhibits, and interactives that will transport visitors back in time to the late 19th century, when America entered an Age of Invention. Innovative ideas swept the country as inventors raced to bring their creations to market. No one embodies these creative leaps in technology as well as Lewis Latimer, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla. Displays include Latimer’s work drafting patents for the lightbulb and the telephone, Edison’s inventions of sound recording and the motion picture; and Tesla’s work on wireless technology. It was the start of the world as we know it today.
Age of Electricity at the Cade is open Fridays through Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through April 30.
