Event Description:
Are You Concerned about Affordability in Alachua County? Costs are climbing for Alachua County residents. Utility rates, new and proposed stormwater assessments, and rising housing and property tax costs are stretching the finances of local businesses and families, many of whom are already operating or living on a shoestring budget.

If you are concerned about affordability, we invite you to join a diverse panel of community leaders on Tuesday, October 24th at 6 p.m. for the Affordability Summit 2 to discuss rising costs. The discussion will also speak to how and why these costs – which may seem small to some – have such a large impact on the budgets of others.

The panel discussion will open the Summit, with panelists including:
  • Nick Banks, Managing Director, Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group
  • Ed Braddy, former Gainesville Mayor
  • Rory Causseaux, CEO, CHW Professional Consultants
  • Kevin Thorpe, Pastor, Faith Church

An audience Q&A will follow the panelists' opening remarks.
