Celebrating 30 years, Bread of the Mighty Food Bank’s 6th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser has a goal of promoting hunger awareness while raising funds to better support our mission.
We anticipate over 450 guests who will dine on a simple but delicious meal of chicken soup, provided by Chick-Fil-A Oaks Mall, bread and fruit. Sheriff Sadie Darnell and Chief Tony Jones will be our guest speakers. Participants receive a handcrafted bowl by local art students to take home as a reminder of the empty bowls on tables of the families throughout our community. Winner! The Empty Bowls Fundraiser will include a live auction performed by Ben Campen, a silent auction as well as a fun, unique tricky tray gift basket auction with spa packages, Gator items, pet packages, gourmet items, (2) airline tickets to anywhere in continental US, 55" flat screen HD Smart TV, various golf packages, (2) Touchdown Terrace football tickets for 2017 UF vs Vandy game on Sept. 30th, and much more.
