Join us for one of the Greater Gainesville Young Professional's monthly STRIVE events!
STRIVE events focus on encouraging philanthropy and civic engagement in the Greater Gainesville community.
This month, our focus is on Ronald McDonald House of North Central Florida!
The Ronald McDonald House provides temporary housing, basic amenities and support to families with children receiving treatment at The Children's Hospital. Many families must travel far from home and spend several weeks or months getting treatment for their seriously ill or injured children, resulting in a long period of family separation. At the Ronald McDonald House, they provide a home so families can stay close at little to no cost. In 2023, our local chapter served 1,445 families and distributed 3,150 comfort bags to families.
This month, we will be baking cookies and muffins for the families residing in the Ronald McDonald House. As they go through this tough time, we look to provide them joy and comfort through some delicious baked goods.
