GOC Bike Day 2025

Ride for a Cause – Supporting Mental Health & Community Wellness
Join us on Saturday, April 5, 2025, for GOC Bike Day, a fun, family-friendly cycling event benefiting the Gainesville Opportunity Center (GOC). Whether you’re an avid cyclist or a casual rider, this event offers something for everyone while supporting mental health recovery and employment opportunities for adults living with chronic mental illness.
We are proud to partner with the Gainesville Cycling Club, which is helping to promote the event and encourage community participation.
Multiple Routes – Explore Gainesville & the Scenic Hawthorne Trail!
We’ve designed four unique routes so that riders of all levels can enjoy the ride:
- Cade Museum Loop (Family Fun Ride/Walk): A short, beginner-friendly route that loops around the Cade Museum, offering a great introduction to the event. Perfect for families and walkers!
- Hawthorne Trail Short Route: A scenic ride along the beautiful Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail, great for those who want a moderate challenge.
- Hawthorne Trail Extended Route: A longer version of the Hawthorne Trail ride, offering more distance and adventure.
- Gainesville City Tour (Over 50 Miles!): Our longest and most challenging route takes cyclists through the heart of Gainesville, showcasing key city landmarks and local scenery.
Whether you want a quick loop, a nature-filled ride, or a city cycling challenge, there’s a route for you!
Live Music & Entertainment
Enjoy live music from Chasing Rabbits, a high-energy band playing classic rock and country hits from 10 AM – 1 PM. Whether you’re cooling down after your ride or hanging out with friends and family, their performance will keep the good vibes going!
Food & Refreshments
Food trucks will be available starting at 10:30 AM, serving up delicious meals and snacks to keep you fueled before or after your ride.
