Event Description:
Join us in promoting awareness and support for people living with chronic mental illness by riding with us on the Hawthorne Trail. Option 1) Circle Depot Park (Beginner)'; Option 2) First Magnitude to LaChua Trail (Intermediate);
Option 3) First Magnitude to Hawthorne, Florida (Advanced); Tickets are $25 per rider. Family plans and sponsorships are available.
The Gainesville Opportunity Center is a non-profit that helps adults living with chronic Mental illness rejoin the community and find jobs.
We follow a recovery through work model where Members come and participate in our work day. They work side by side with our staff and other Members in order to build confidence. They see others with mental illness succeeding while they prove to themselves they can, too. From there the GOC helps Members find jobs, and gives them continued support while working.
