Event Description:
This event is intended to bring together community members, specifically teenagers and their families, to work towards discovering solutions for youth substance abuse in the area. We will have a presentation given by our keynote speaker, Rodrick Cunningham, a veteran of the U.S. armed forces who now serves communities through his youth empowerment and DEA360 programs. Additionally, we will have informational sessions about vaping and underage drinking led by the Hanley Foundation and UF Gatorwell. We hope to have an evening that fosters discussion and engagement from the audience. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and cultivate a sense of community support to strive towards healthier lifestyles and community wellbeing.
At this event, there will be a free meal served and door prizes will include gift cards from the Cheesecake Factory, Domino's and Whole Foods. Before the event, we will also have a Community Resource Fair at 5:30 pm with information from various community organizations.
