Event Description:
The Florida Museum of Natural History and Alachua County Library District will host “NEA Big Read: Girls Do Science” Feb. 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. This FREE virtual event gives attendees the chance to meet educators and researchers and take part in activities! A free activity book will be uploaded to the Florida Museum’s website with experiments, demonstrations, coloring pages and more created by local scientists for future scientists of all ages to complete by the event. This meetup will have activities for all ages and is part of the NEA Big Read, a series of events building community while lifting the voices of women in science.
