Event Description:
On Friday, March 21st, in beautiful downtown Gainesville, the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting The Longest Table.
This event takes place in various cities across the nation as a way to bring members of their community together to strengthen and build relationships across economic, racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds. As the chamber looks into it's 101st year, we recognize the importance of bringing individuals "to the table" together. Without that, the chamber nor this community would have accomplished the great milestones we have achieved over the years. As we come together, we also hope to help those in need. We will ask that every attendee also bring a donation of non-perishable food that will then be donated to a local food bank. Collaboration, Innovation, Culture and Compassion working together creates a stronger community.
We invite everyone to come together at the table. Meet new people, reconnect with neighbors, enjoy music and delicious food from a selection of our local restaurants and help those in need. This is a community event, so we invite all ages to attend. There will be games & a craft station available for children in attendance.
Each Table will feature a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and a bottle of Chardonnay. Additional alcoholic beverages can be purchased from Loosey's and The Bull.
Participating Restaurants and Featured Menus:
Fehrenbacher's Meats + Eats- Smoked Short Rib "Pastrami," Potato Salad, Red Cabbage Slaw, House Pickles and Horseradish Aioli
Boca Fiesta- Brisket Street Tacos, sweet potatoes
Additional Options coming soon
