Name: Walk the Talk for Epilepsy
Date: March 25, 2017
Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
May the epilepsy awareness be with you
Event Description:
The Walk the Talk for Epilepsy is the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida's largest and most notable annual event. Every year, we gather in order to spread epilepsy and seizure awareness and raise funds for the local programs EFOF provides. Plus, it is a great opportunity for those with epilepsy and their loved ones to support each other in the battle called epilepsy. Every day, 550 people are diagnosed with epilepsy. Every year, 55,000 people's lives are taken because a cure for epilepsy has not been found. Please come out and support us as we lead the fight to overcome the challenges of epilepsy and accelerate therapies, find cures and save lives.
This is a family fun day, starting with a warm up by Jake Thompson of Axis Training, introduction by KISS 105.3 doing live broadcasting, a 5K walk around UF Campus (and Lake Wauburg), followed by games, activities, face painting, balloon animals, craft vendors, a performance by IndepenDance Dance Company, high fives from Albert and Alberta and all the support you need from Stormtroopers. Plus snacks by Dunkin Donuts and snowcones! Guaranteed to be a fun day for the whole family all for a GREAT cause!
