IT - Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer II

Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client seeking a highly skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer II to serve as a technical backbone for our IT team. This role is responsible for managing, enhancing, and securing a hybrid environment consisting of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. As a senior-level technical expert, you will work independently to design and implement scalable solutions that ensure the reliability and performance of our core systems.   Let’s get to work!

Pay Rate:  $85,000 -$110,000/yr

Key Responsibilities 

? Infrastructure & Cloud Management: Design, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure, including Windows Server environments, Azure cloud-based virtual machines, and virtualization platforms like Hyper-V. 

? Project Leadership: Lead or co-lead critical IT infrastructure projects, such as system migrations, cloud adoption initiatives, and enterprise-wide technology rollouts.

? Systems Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID (Identity services), and mobile device management (MDM) tools.

? Security & Compliance: Manage security monitoring, incident response, and regular patching to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance.

? Technical Support: Provide Tier II/III support for complex systems and assist with escalated end-user support tasks as needed. 

? Documentation: Develop and maintain IT documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and change control procedures. Required Qualifications & Experience To be considered for this role, candidates must be able to answer "Yes" to the following:

? 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and cloud environment management. 

? Experience maintaining or securing Microsoft 365 or Azure environments.

? Experience working in a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud infrastructure). 

? Proven track record of leading or co-leading IT infrastructure or cloud migration projects. 

? Experience providing Tier II or Tier III technical support for systems or infrastructure.

? Experience writing IT documentation, SOPs, or change control procedures.

? Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, or ITAM frameworks and practices.

? Ability and willingness to travel periodically to other company sites and acquisition locations. Additional Skills 

? Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). 

? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent work experience). 

? Relevant certifications (Azure Administrator/Architect, Network+, Security+) are highly preferred. Physical Requirements 

? Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 40 lbs. 

? Ability to perform physical activities including standing, stooping, bending, and reaching.
