Human Resources & Budget Coordinator

Spherion Gainesville, FL has a local client seeking an organized, detail-oriented Human Resources & Budget Coordinator to manage daily HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee records. This coordinator will also assist with departmental budgets and financial reporting including non-banking and non-accounting budget support.

Location: Alachua, FL
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation
  • Maintain confidential and compliant employee personnel files
  • Track employee credentials, training, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain employee handbooks, policies, and acknowledgments
  • Assist with HR-related audits and licensing reviews
  • Support disciplinary documentation and corrective action tracking
  • Ensure HR records are audit-ready and up to date

Budgeting/ Financial Organization (Non-Banking) Duties

  • Assist leadership with budget planning and forecasting
  • Track expenses using reports provided by leadership or accounting
  • Monitor budget vs. actual spending and flag variances
  • Organize financial documents for internal review
  • Prepare summary reports for leadership decision-making
  • Support cost-control efforts by identifying trends or inefficiencies
  • Maintain expense logs and internal financial tracking tools

Auditing and Documentation Duties

  • Maintain organized records for HR and operational audits
  • Assist with audit preparation and follow-up documentation
  • Track employee corrective actions and compliance deadlines

Administrative and Operational Support Duties

  • Provide administrative support to leadership as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational data
  • Assist with internal reporting and special projects

Qualifications

  • Experience in HR, administrative support, or operations
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Comfort working with budgets and expense summaries
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and audit preparation preferred
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and document systems
